25 female students abducted and vice principal killed and in kebbi state.

On Tuesday, 18th of November 2025, the incident occurred at 4:00 a.m. It began like every other normal day, without any knowledge of the tragedy that was about to unfold.

The schoolgirls were abducted from their hostels, and the Vice Principal was shot and killed while trying to protect some of the students from being taken. Another staff member sustained gunshot wounds and is currently receiving treatment.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sent the

Vice President, Kashim Shettima, to Kebbi State to meet with the grieving families.

The President assured the nation that the government is working to ensure the safe and speedy return of all the abducted schoolgirls.

President Tinubu stated that despite intelligence reports, the abduction still occurred. He extended his condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the soldiers who lost their lives in action while battling insurgency in Borno State, including Brigadier General Musa Uba.

The President emphasized that while the security agencies are working to provide the best protection possible, citizens must also cooperate to bring the perpetrators to justice.

According to him:

“I urge community leaders and our compatriots across the country, especially those in theatres of operation, to share useful information. Your cooperation is crucial in our fight against these security challenges.”
